The Leedey Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for students in the Leedey School District. Since 2011, we have partnered with the community to support initiatives that empower our students and educators.

What We Do:

  • Scholarships: Providing financial assistance to graduating seniors to help them pursue higher education.
  • Instructional Grants: Funding innovative and creative projects to enhance classroom learning.
  • Community Support: Collaborating with local organizations to provide resources like school supplies for Pre-K through 12th-grade students.

Fund Allocation 2023-2024

At the Leedey Education Foundation (LEF), we hold two key fundraisers each year. The first is our annual fundraiser, where 50% of the funds go toward scholarships and grants, while the other 50% is saved for perpetuity to ensure the long-term stability of the foundation. Per our bylaws, we can only spend 50% of the total funds raised on grants and scholarships, with the remaining 50% reserved for future needs.

We also run a separate fundraiser specifically for school supplies, which allows us to meet immediate needs without cutting into the 50% allocated for other programs.

Here’s how our funds have been allocated:

  • Grants: $26,934.95
  • Scholarships: $11,000
  • School Supplies: $6,465.73

Our ultimate goal is to raise enough money so the foundation can operate off the interest earned from investments, eliminating the need for future fundraisers. We are currently working on determining the investment amount needed to achieve this.

This collaboration allows us to support our students now while ensuring long-term sustainability for the foundation.
